The author behind this site
This website is owned and operated by Josiah David Wilson (“we,” “us,” or “the author”). For any privacy question, please reach out through the contact page.
What is gathered, and when
Contact form: the name, email address, and message you provide so we can reply.
Account: if you create an account, an email address and a securely stored password, plus reading progress, bookmarks, and wishlist items you save.
Orders (via Shopify): items purchased, shipping and billing details, and order status. Payment card information is entered directly into Shopify’s secure checkout and is never stored on this site.
Technical & log data: standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the site secure and reliable.
Consent choices: your cookie preferences are stored locally in your browser and never sent to a server. You can change them anytime on the cookie notice page.
Limited, named purposes
To reply to messages, fulfill and support orders, sync your reading across devices, secure the site against abuse, and meet legal or tax obligations.
Your information is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.
Why we are allowed to process it
We rely on your consent when you submit a form or create an account; on contract when fulfilling an order; on legitimate interest when keeping the site safe and functional; and on legal obligation when retaining records required by law.
Who else handles your data
Shopify processes checkout, payments, shipping, and order records.
Lovable Cloud hosts the site and provides authentication and database services for accounts and reading data.
An email provider may be used to deliver replies to messages you send. No other third parties receive your information.
Where data is processed
The services above operate primarily from the United States. By using this site, you understand that your information may be processed in countries other than your own, with appropriate safeguards in place.
How long things are kept
Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation and a reasonable period afterward. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted on request. Order records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting law (typically several years).
What you can ask for
You may request access to your information, correction of inaccuracies, deletion, a copy in portable form, or to object to certain processing. See the Data Requests page for how to make a request and what to expect.
A family-friendly site
The site is not directed at children under 13, and information is not knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child has provided information, please reach out and it will be removed.
Care with what you entrust
The site is served over encrypted HTTPS. Accounts are protected by industry-standard authentication, and access to backend data is limited to authorized use. No system is perfect, but reasonable care is taken at every step.
